*** Now with a special 'night mode' switch which dims the display, shows the seconds with only one dot (to prevent a hard brightness switch between second 59 and second 0) and switches off the tick sound. ***
Turn your iPhone into an atomic clock. A must for every geek.
This nifty tool shows the precise time of day. To achieve this, it uses a special internet time protocol to fetch the ultimate precise time from the Apple Time Server normally used to synchronize Mac OS X systems.
The graphical display mimics the clock display of the original CS2 atomic clock located in Germany, and we spent much effort to bring the CS2 look and feel to your iPhone. If you want to know more about the original CS2 clock or if you want to see original pictures, google for "Atomuhr CS2".
In addition to the original retro-display, you can switch the view to a visual display of fractional seconds (1/60th sec. resolution) with a second click sound and 12/24 hours display.
Added features since first release:
* orientation can be changed to landscape mode
* status bar and info button will hide in landscape mode
* display is a bit sharper now
* darker inactive dots
* new clock colors: red, blue, yellow
* screen auto-lock disabled
* new option 'sync at startup', including a sync button for manual syncing
* without a sync at startup the last know time delta is used
* touching the display lets the buttons and status bar fade in/out
* shows a message box when no network is available
*** To answer a common question: The iPhone SDK unfortunately does not allow applications to set iPhone's system time, so a time sync between the atomic time and the iPhone time is not possible ***
