GAME MODE: The goal is to catch the colored snow flakes. There is no time limit. Each flake you catch is worth 5 points. You lose 10 points for each flake that falls to the ground. Your current score and goal is displayed in the upper left of the screen. When your score reaches the goal amount you win the level and are rewarded with a colorful snowstorm. Each level is progressively difficult and, when won, the reward is progressively beautiful.

DECORATE MODE: When playing in decorate mode, you simply decorate the tree as you desire. There is no time limit or goals. Just have fun.

Spawn is a program that creates amazing animations of little particles that are influenced by different forces. Without user interaction the forces are chosen randomly and the particles seems to have a mind of their own, flying around, reacting to gravity and invisible force fields.

The mesmerizing patterns created are reminiscent of fireworks, sea anemones, electrons in a cloud chamber, or tiny organisms under a microscope.

You can exert control over the particles by touching the screen and dragging your finger. The ever color changing particles will follow and circle your finger wherever you move it. Double tap the screen to see them explode, spawning a mass of new particles in all directions. Spread or pinch horizontally (center) and the particles will fly faster or slower. Spread or pinch vertically (center) and the particles will become bigger or smaller. Spread or pinch vertically (left side) and the particles will have a longer or shorter trail. The game:

How to play:

Unfilled blanks along with the virtual keyboard appear at the onset of the game.

1. Take your guess and if the alphabet is correct it gets filled in the correct blank.

Thread a laser beam through a maze of reflectors, absorbers, and prisms to strike the target.

Laze is a strategy puzzle game designed to be something like pool (billiards). Study the angles, set up your shot, and see what happens. A solution may be only a small adjustment away, or you might have to try a completely different angle.

In the easier mazes (level 40-55) you may be able to hit the target by trial and error, but with the more difficult mazes (level 85 and above), you'll usually have to plan your attack carefully.

* The colored bars are reflectors.

* The black bars absorb the laser light (reflect nothing).

* The blue translucent shapes are prisms (so they refract the beam).

* Sliding anywhere in the grey source area will change the position of the laser source.

* Sliding anywhere outside the grey source area will adjust the angle of the laser beam.

NOTE: Touch farther from the source for finer adjustments.

Laze has two modes:

Training Mode:

Laze will feed you mazes (from a training library of 500 mazes) likely to be challenging for your your skill level, or you can choose the difficulty of the next maze with the on-screen slider.

If you're stuck, get a hint about the location of a solution, or even a peek at a solution, or skip the maze for now and come back to it.

Challenge 100 Mode:

Solve 100 progressively more difficult mazes from easy to really hard. No hints, no peeking ! You have to solve each maze before you go on to the next.

The maze difficulty is displayed at the top of the screen, and the maze's position in the list of 100 is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Controls:

gear: display the controls

arrows: move back and forth in the maze history

plus: add a new maze to the maze history

slider: adjust the difficulty of the next new maze

question mark: get progressively more exact hints about the location of a possible solution, and eventually the exact solution ray.

I know what all the symbols mean, but in the heat of a rehearsal I struggle to work out which note I should really be singing, which means a regular pitch pipe is no use!
